About

Growing up, holidays were always a huge deal in my house.  A menu was planned, decorations and centerpieces were sketched out and usually handmade, furniture was rearranged, and everything was always perfect.  I knew how to formally set a table and beautifully fold napkins before I was ten, and I loved every second of it.  I guess you could say that I was prepared for event planning from the very beginning.

I’ve worked in customer service, as a design assistant, and as a set designer, but nothing is more fulfilling than when I’m planning an event.  Weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, engagement parties, dinner parties, and birthday blowouts are all exciting and fun to plan.  The most fun part is getting to know my clients as I begin working with them.  Personality traits, likes and dislikes, the little things that make each person unique are then reflected in the design.  Unveiling is my favorite part; the look in a client’s eyes when they first see the “ta-da” is so amazing.

Having a background in set design, and a design degree from FIDM, it should come as no surprise that I love to be courageous with colors and textures.  I always find the little details so exciting.  When I start talking at hyper-speed about flowers and tulle, it’s very evident that I love my job.

When I’m not planning, I’m spending time with my gorgeous daughter, and my amazing hubby.  I’m also an artist (paint and installation art), a photographer, a designer, and a chef.  I also volunteer at a couple churches helping with their Visual Arts ministry.
